The decision has been made. Pfleiderer wins the German Sustainability Award 2024 in the Basic Materials / Wood Processing category, thus crowning a year that was full of awards for the company's ESG activities. Among other accolades during the year, the wood-based materials manufacturer was awarded a gold medal by EcoVadis and, according to the Morningstar / Sustainalytics rating agency, is among the top 2 percent of 15,000 globally rated companies as the second-placed company in the building materials industry category.

Dr. Frank Herrmann, CEO of the Pfleiderer Group, is full of praise for his team and explains the recipe for success: "This prize is first and foremost an award for the tireless commitment of my team. Sustainability has always been more than just lip service at Pfleiderer. In recent years, however, we have not only filled the term with more and more life in the company but have firmly linked it to our strategy as an attitude. This is now paying off more and more - for our customers, our company, and of course the environment!"

After a long selection and evaluation process, the 140-member jury of experts chose Pfleiderer in the final of three companies. The award ceremony will take place on November 23, 2023, at a prominent event in Düsseldorf. The DNP has been recognizing companies for their exceptional achievements in the field of sustainability since 2008. Pfleiderer qualified for the final for the first time and came out on top right away.
